Godly Girl Blog

How to be a Godly girl in a not so Godly world!

Hello, everyone! My name is Natalie and I am a fifteen-year-old girl who loves Jesus! I talk about multiple different topics on this blog, but they all are about living a Godly life as a teen girl! If you would like to contact me, you can email me at godlygirlblog2@gmail.com, I would love to give you advice if you need or just hear from you! Until then, I will be praying for all you beautiful people!<3

This past weekend I got to go to the beach and swim in the Atlantic Ocean. I LOVE the ocean! I could spend hours jumping over and into waves, tanning on the beach, and getting major sunburns.

As I was playing in the waves, I heard God giving me a lesson.

I was trying to get further out into the water, but every time I’d get farther, a wave would come and I’d be forced to move closer to shore. But, I would continue going, fighting as hard as I could along the waves. The thing is, I could’ve given up, letting the waves take me all the way back to shore, but I didn’t,

That situation relates to life a lot.

Sometimes in life things try to push you back. Maybe it’s mental or physical things. Like the waves, they push you back to where you were and take you away from where you’re going. You just have to push through, and eventually you’ll get to where you want to be.

Now, imagine the waves as things in life, whatever is trying to drown you. You’re trying to get through the ocean to get to Europe—in reality you’re trying to get through life to get to heaven

Swimming all the way to Europe would not be easy. It’s a long ways away. Not only that, you’d run into big storms, creepy water creatures and more.

Ok, continue imagining you’re in the middle of the ocean, you’re tired, alone, and hungry. Up ahead, as if things couldn’t get worse, there’s a huge storm coming in waves as high as a skyscraper. You’re about to die.

A really big wave is about to hit you, and all the sudden, this boat—strong enough to get through a storm like this—comes and picks you up, letting you rest. Giving you water to drink and bread to eat.
now you’re confused. This boat came out of nowhere, the captains being more than nice to you, and you’ve done nothing to deserve it.

Yet, the captain shows you this unconditional love. As things keep coming, trying to stop your boat, the captain somehow gets you through every painful and difficult thing in your way. He never takes you around, he always takes you through.

Eventually, you make it to Europe. It’s wonderful. Your pain is gone and everything is perfect.

That’s life. Your on a long “swim” to heaven, but one wrong turn and you’re in a different place.

You’re going through life and you get hit with a huge storm. You’re petrified because it’s like something trying to drown you.

But Jesus comes to help you through it. You can let Him help or not. He doesn’t take pain, He helps you through it.

God, like the captain, shows us love when we don’t deserve it.

He gets us through storms so we can get to heaven.

You just have to let Him into your life. He can give you rest, living water, and bread of life.

If you haven’t already I encourage you to welcome Jesus into your heart. If you aren’t sure how, talk to a pastor at a church or feel free to email me at godlygirlblog2@gmail.com.

I hope you have a good two weeks and I’ll be praying for you!❤️

”Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depth, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the flood engulf me.” -Psalms 69:1-2
